KOTD: Essie Lilacism with spiders!

Hi everyone. I was recently inspired by nihrida's mani here and decided to do one myself! Everyone in my class yesterday made a big deal about it. My classmate sitting next to me looked at my nails and asked loudly, "Are those spiders on your nails?" Of course everyone then turned to look at me. One classmate said I had beautiful nails while another said she loved whenever I wear green. I felt flattered and kind of embarrassed! I don't think I realized how much people notice my nails. Now I'm not sure if they all think I'm unique and cool or a freak!

This is 3 coats of Essie Lilacism. Application was pretty good. It was easy to work with - not too thick or too thin - but I did find it streaky. Three coats took care of all the bald spots and streaks and it dried super fast with Diamont. I used Konad Plate M1 and Konad Special Polish in black for the spiders. I love the idea of sweet purple mixed with scary spiders, especially since I've seen 2 HUGE spiders in the last 2 days in my apt. Ah, the joys of summer!

The spiders on my thumb smeared a little, unfortunately. I'm still looking for a good topcoat to use over Konads (I used Barielle Manicure Extender with this and it typically works well but sometimes, like in this case, it smears).

Thanks for looking!
