Impossible to even remotely capture this. Cameras hate purple anyways, but combine that with crappy lighting and you get pictures that don't do a lovely polish justice. Normally I would wait until a clearer and sunnier day to share this gem with you, but I'm going to have to change my polish for my baby bro's college graduation and my best friend's wedding that are all coming up ASAP so this was my chance.
OPI DS Mystery *is* close to black - not gonna lie. But what it really is is a deep dark shade of purple - not red-purple - but cool-toned purple, with gold and copper glitter in it. Here is the best I could do:

This came out with one of my new favs, OPI DS Glow. They don't seem very related as the texture is completely different. DS Glow is more of a foil-y shimmer whereas this is a thick jelly with glitter. Application was not as awesome as DS Glow either - this was 2 coats, but 2 coats that were more difficult than I'd like.
Despite that, I actually still really like this. It is *much* better in reality than in these crappy pics, and there's just something special about that gold and copper glitter thrown in there.
Now that the science stress is over, the personal life stress begins.
