So this year has brought a poster and a talk. That's not bad! Hopefully, the paper that's been rejected from two (very competitive) journals will be accepted on the third try (at a less competitive journal) and I'll have another paper out for review by the end of the summer. Professionally, I'm on track. :) I hate relying on external validation... but I feel completely off-track so someone saying "yes" when my head is saying "no"... I'll take it!

It's hard to tell from these photos but it's a tyrian purple jelly chock-a-block with pink glitter. (Actually, it might be silver glitter but it looks pink through the colored jelly.) Three coats, wonderful application. So sparkly and happy and perfect for my celebratory mood.
