The last week of summer. How did it all go by so fast? I had so many grand plans for my summer and now, it is over. Sob.

I've actually come to the conclusion that my nails grow somewhat fast (which is bad news for filing-averse me, as I'm trying to keep my nails at a shorter length lately). This wasn't taken that much after I nubbinized the first time during the summer... was it? I don't even remember. Summer feels very far away already! Either way, this was one of the Illamasquas I got from eBay (3 for $16!). In the bottle, it looks like it should have purple shimmer but on the nail, all I got was this gorgeous dark blue with light blue shimmer. Two coats, lovely application.
This was sort of an It polish this summer, thanks to Scrangie's gorgeous swatch. Unfortunately, it was a huge fail on me. I actually hate the way this looks on me (and these photos), I'm not even sure why I'm posting it. Just to have it, perhaps? (Though I think extraH posted this awhile back already...) This is four coats on me and this is nowhere near opaque. It's a royal blue jelly with teal shimmer -- which sounds like it should be a hot combination -- but this definitely has to be layered over something or else it's just far too sheer.
